Medical Microdermabrasion, Alpha Hydroxy Acid used in conjunction with microdermabrasion, is a non-invasive gentle abrasion (skin polishing) treatment followed immediately with a glycolic chemical peel.
The microdermabrasion system propels natural mineral crystals onto the surface of the skin to reveal newer, healthier younger looking skin. The surface layer of skin collects harmful environmental elements. By aggressively, uniformly removing this layer of dead, impacted cells the surface is refined and smoothed. The skin is quite pink and receptive.
A mild chemical peel is a non-invasive technique for restoring wrinkled, blemished, unevenly pigmented, or sun-damaged facial skin; it peels away the skin's damaged outer layers. A solution of glycolic fruit acid is applied immediately following the skin polishing to continue to treat the surface of the skin. The glycolic is customized for skin type and specific problem areas.
Recent discoveries have shown that when a series of Medical Microdermabrasions are performed within a short time interval, the effect is greater than aggressive polishing and deep peeling procedures. The patient avoids a long and inconvenient recovery time.
